This is one of family's favorite cake, they always want me to make in all occasions...my grandmother loves it...my mother'n'law likes it cold but it's great warm or cold...if you make this hope you love it. So you might want to give it a try.

TIMING

  • PREP TIME : [10] Min
  • COOK TIME : [60] Min
  • READY IN : [70] Min
SERVES : [ 8 ] People

INGREDIENTS

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 can crushed pineapple (do not drain)
  • 1 package yellow cake mix (dry)
  • 1 stick of butter, cubed or melted (I like it melted better)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • Whipped cream, thawed (optional)

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat oven to 350* F. Spray a 9 X 13 inch cake pan with cooking spray.
  2. Combine cherries and pineapple in the bottom of the pan. Mix throughly.
  3. Pour dry cake mix evenly over fruit. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired. Drizzle butter over the top.
  4. Bake for about 1 hour, or until golden brown (tooth pick comes out clean when inserted in center).
  5. Serve with whipped cream if desired.

NOTICE

Dump Cake is inbetween a cobbler and a crisp
