Chilli peppers, try to get straight ones as they are easier to stuff. I calculate 2-3 per person
Minced/ground beef
Yellow lentils, if desired
Chopped onion
Finely chopped garlic
Grated cheese
Tomato paste
Water
Cumin
Chilli powder
Salt, pepper
Oil
Rice
Green peas
Turmeric
Salt, or veg stock
PREPARATION
Set oven to 225 degrees Celsius. Fry the beef and add onion and garlic. Add spices, water and tomato paste and let boil until the liquid has reduced a bit. Boil lentils if desired, perhaps with a bay leaf and some cloves. Wash and clean the peppers - use cold water and be careful not to touch your face! Blend meat and cheese and stuff peppers. Place in ightly oiled ovenproof dish and bake for about 20 minutes or until the peppers are slightly blistered and brown in patches. In the meantime, boil the rice and add frozen peas when there are a few minutes left of the cooking time.
