Lasagne with White Béchamel Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • (White Bechamel Sauce Ingredients)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heated milk
  • Salt (According to taste)
  • White pepper (According to taste)
  • 1/2 Tin Cream
  • Nutmeg (optional)
  • (Lasagne Ingredients)
  • Pre-cooked Lasagne Sheets
  • Cooked Mince Meat + Ragu Red Lasagne Sauce (mixed together)
  • Saute: Mushrooms + yellow Peppers + green peppers (or any topping you want on your lasagne)
  • Shredded Cheese - Mozzarella

PREPARATION

  1. "For bechamel sauce" melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and stir until mixture is well blended. Gradually stir in hot milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce begins to boil and thickens. Simmer, stirring frequently, over very low heat for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste and add a little nutmeg, if desire. Add cream and stir. Makes about 1 cup of medium thick sauce. You can add more milk if the mixture is too thick
  2. Grease the edges of an oven dish. Pour bechamel sauce into the dish and place two sheets of lasagne on top.
  3. Add some of the mince meat sauce on the sheets, pour bechamel sauce all over, sprinkle Mozzarella cheese.
  4. Repeat for five layers (if using a small oven dish)
  5. Bake 20 mins or till soft at 200 degrees.
