There is nothing like cool and refreshing salad to accompaniment to your barbecue. This nutritious, cool and easy to make salad is not only a great way to cool down your hot meal but also makes a perfect nutritious side, so you might want to give it a try

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups yoghurt
  • 3 medium cucumber, diced
  • 1/2 cup chick-peas
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 2 tablespoon raisins
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 loaf of toasted pita bread, torn into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste

PREPARATION

  1. Boil chick-peas in water then set aside.
  2. Combine yoghurt, cucumbers,chick-peas, walnuts, raisins, onion, chopped mint, garlic, cumin, olive oil, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add toasted pita bread and serve immediately.

hello, i could not get its preparation. in the picture totally different dish. could you plz send the preparation in proper way. Thanks Firuza

Hello Firuza, 1. Cook chick-peas in water until tender then set aside. 2. Combine yogurt, cucumbers, walnuts, raisins, onion, chopped mint, garlic, cumin, olive oil, and salt in a bowl. 3.Add chick-peas then mix all together 4. Add toasted pita bread and serve immediately.

If you didn't like to serve this salad immediately!, put it in refrigerator for short time but don't add the toasted pita bread this will cause the bread to melt up
