Homemade vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips

INGREDIENTS

• 1 3/4 cup milk
• 1/2 cup cream (I used half & and half)
• 1 cup sugar,
• 4 egg yolk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• Cocolate chips or nuts.

PREPARATION

1. Prepare the ice cream mixture by mixing 1 3/4 cup milk and 1/2 cup cream (I used half & and half) then heat them on low without boiling. Mix 1 cup sugar, 4 egg yolk, 1 tsp vanilla extract together. Add a little of the milk mixture to the egg mixture and whisk...keep adding the rest of the milk and return all the mixture on low heat to make it thicker. Cool it completely and then add it to the ice cream maker. Add the cocolate chips or nuts.
